This review of the Breville Deep Fryer marks Breville’s first appearance on Best Deep Fryer Reviews. Breville brings us a fine looking deep fryer with a nice mix of steel and black plastic look on the exterior. Underneath that beautiful exterior is a powerful 1800-watt heating element. That heating element uses what Breville calls Cool Plate technology which they state allows for the use of 1/4 less oil than conventional deep fryer heating elements. This deep fryer also has many of the standard features that you would expect like a magnetic release cord, viewing window, frying basket, and an adjustable temperature control.
One thing that perhaps should have been included but wasn’t is an oil drain. The Breville Deep Fryer is in the mid to high price range and oil drains are almost a standard feature when you get into the higher prices. They did however go so far as to construct the oil container with a pouring spout to make removal easier but even that can be messy if you’re not careful. This however is only one small drawback in an otherwise fine deep fryer.
It’s a matter of personal preference but I would also have preferred if the frying controls were in the front instead of the back. As a matter of safety, when you’re deep fryer has a lid, as is the case with the Breville Deep Fryer, you ought to use it. So as long as you have the lid on then you shouldn’t be in any danger from reaching over the deep fryer to adjust the controls in the back.
Breville has given us a fine deep fryer that has made it worthy of inclusion on Best Deep Fryers. If you are in the market for a new deep fryer and want one that will be an attractive looking appliance on your kitchen counter then this unit could be for you.

Maybe there are some recipes in the deep fryer cookbooks that take an hour.
Aside from that it has all of the standard deep fryer features you would expect like a lifting fry basket, adjustable thermostat, locking lid with dual filters, and magnetic release cord. Overall this is fairly standard counter-top deep fryer that is built well and has had good customer reviews. The Oster 4 Liter Cool Touch Deep Fryer CKSTDFZM70 might not be the most interesting or original deep fryer on the market but it’s reliability and quality cooking results have landed it among one of our best deep fryers.
