The Emerilware FR7009001 Deep Fryer from T-Fal is a stylish large capacity deep fryer made with a stainless steel exterior. The 2-2/3 pounds of cooking capacity make this a great fryer for entertaining guests and you can be confident in the quality of food that this unit produces with a powerful 1700 watt heating element.

The Emerilware FR7009001 Deep Fryer comes with many standard deep fryer features like a sealed lid, frying basket, indicator light, and thermostat. Many of the parts are also dishwasher safe.

Feature for feature the Emerilware FR7009001 Deep Fryer is nearly identical to T-Fal FR7008002 unit. The main differences are the shape and appearance of the exterior of the unit and of course this one bears Emeril’s name. Personally for me that doesn’t mean much and it seems to me that customers are perhaps being asked to pay more for a nearly identical unit, simply because Emeril’s name is on it.

That does not make this a bad deep fryer by any means and it could be a good choice for you, especially if you are a fan of Emeril. Otherwise, consider the T-Fal FR7008002, it’s a little more value priced for essientially the same deep fryer.

The Waring Pro DF250B Deep Fryer is a stainless-steel deep fryer that features a powerful 1800 watt heating element and dishwasher safe parts. This deep fryer makes our best list because of its commercial look that it brings to the home kitchen. Being able to hold 16 cups of oil is nice for the fact that you can buy a gallon of oil and dump the whole thing in. That was a minor complaint that I had against the T-Fal FR7008002 that I had reviewed previously, in that it could only hold 14 cups of oil, leaving you two extra cups to deal with in the bottle. However, in-spite of it’s increased oil capacity, the Waring Pro DF250B actually has a somewhat smaller cooking capacity at only 2-1/5 pounds as opposed to the T-Fal FR7008002 which could hold up to 2-2/3 pounds. I’m not really sure how the Waring Pro unit manages to use more oil but produce less food.

Other features include a domed lid with condensation catcher, heavy mesh basket, a collapsible handle, and a deep fryer standard-the magnetic breakaway cord.

The Waring Pro DF250B is one of the best selling deep fryers on the market and customer reviews are overwhelmingly positive for it. Consider a comparison shop with the T-Fal FR7008002.

If you are looking for a larger capacity home fryer, then the T-Fal FR7008002 Ultimate EZ Clean Pro-Fryer should top your list of deep fryers to consider. It boasts a 1700 watt heating element that is perfect for frying 2-2/3 pounds of food that the FR7008002 can handle at full capacity.

It has all of the standard features that you’d look for in a home deep fryer like an adjustable thermostat, ready light, and external basket handle. But one of the cooler things included is an integrated oil drain that filters the oil as it drains and stores the oil for future use. The lid also seals to prevent splashing while still allowing you to see the food through the large viewing window.

In-spite of the large capacity, I almost wish that the T-Fal FR7008002 Ultimate EZ Clean Pro-Fryer had an even larger oil capacity. It holds about 14 cups of oil, while a US gallon is about 16 cups. It just would have been nice to be able to buy a gallon of oil and dump the whole thing in without worrying about overflows. This is a minor inconvenience though in an otherwise great deepfryer.

Having all of the parts be dishwasher safe, apart from the heating element, is a nice bonus. Some lower end units have very strict cleaning instructions and being able to clean the unit in the dishwasher is a real time saver.

The T-Fal FR7008002 could be the best choice for you if you’ve got a large family to cook for, with it’s ample capacity and easy cleanup. At the very least this unit should be near the top of your list of considerations in deep fryers.

Strictly speaking from a design point of view, the DeLonghi D895UX Cool-Touch ROTO Food Fryer is pretty darn cool. I’m a gadget guy and while deep fryer aren’t typically considered gadgets, this one has some features that push it in that direction.

The DeLonghi D895UX‘s frying basket is mounted at a tilt and the basket rotates as the unit fries the food. This allows the fryer to use half as much oil while still perfectly frying your food. The rotation of the basket also serves to circulate the oil which helps maintain an even temperature throughout the oil. The built in adjustable thermostat lets you adjust the cooking temperature from 300-370 degrees, and even at those temperatures the outside stays cool to the touch for a safer frying experience.

Frying odors are kept to a minimum thanks to a dual filter system which is something that many fryers do not offer and is a nice touch here. Another cool feature is the oil drain system. A tube at the base of the DeLonghi D895UX unfolds and drains the oil into a container for future use, letting you clean the fryer itself more easily. And cleanup really is easy with the non-stick interior surface.

With the D895UX , DeLonghi really put a lot of attention into the details and I for one think that they did a great job. This 1 1/2 pound capacity deep fryer could be perfect for an average sized family.

Cuisinart CDF-100 Compact Deep Fryer is intended to take up little counter space while allowing you to cook quality fried food. Like some of the other fryers I’ve reviewed, it’s small size makes it ideal for small families or college students as you will not be able to cook large meals in it, with a maximum capacity of up to 3/4 of a pound of food. If you are just looking for a quick side dish then this could be a great extra deep fryer to keep around if you don’t always need a larger unit.

On thing that I do appreciate about the Cuisinart CDF-100 is that unlike some other compact deep fryers, this unit is more than just a metal pot that heats oil. It includes a thirty minute timer, an adjustable thermostat, and a charcoal filter to limit frying smells in the house. Parts of the Cuisinart CDF-100 are also dishwasher safe which makes cleanup an easy task.

The Cuisinart CDF-100‘s rectangular shape and black/steel trim give it a higher end look that will allow it to fit in in any kitchen, which is another advantage over some other small deep fryers. Whether you are an individual that wants to cook fried foods for yourself or a small family just wanting to make the occasional side dish, the Cuisinart CDF-100 is worth considering.

The Presto 05411 GranPappy Electric Deep Fryer is very similar to Presto’s FryDaddy but in a somewhat larger profile. As far as deep fryer’s go they don’t really come much simpler than the GranPappy. It’s basically a metal pot that heats up oil. There’s no thermostat control as the unit automatically heats oil to good a temperature for frying. People who want more control over their frying will likely not like this feature of the GranPappy but for basic frying needs this is a budget priced fryer that performs exactly as it is intended to.

is a large slotted scoop for lower food into the oil and retrieving the food when it is finished. There is no basket to hold the food but there is a lid. Unlike fryers with more features, that allow you to lower food into the oil when a lid is already in place, you’ll likely end up with some oil splattering when you put food in.

Because of the potential for splattering and because this is just a metal pot that gets very hot on the outside while in use, this deep fryer may not be the best choice for families with small children. Not that you’d ever want to allow a child to get up close and personal with any potentially dangerous kitchen appliance, but deep fryers in this simple metal pot style are inherently a little more worrisome around small children. The Presto 05411 GranPappy Electric Deep Fryer is probably best suited for college students or people without small children. If you fit into one of those two categories then this budget priced deep fryer could be a good choice for you.

The Aroma ADF-212 Smart Fry XL is one of my favorite deep fryers thanks to it’s generous cooking capacity and it’s mid-range price level. It allows you to cook up to 4 pounds of food at one time in either one large frying basket or two smaller baskets, all three are included which is a great value. Having the versatility of selecting which basket size to use is something that is not included in many of the other dual-basket fryers.

Another feature that places this best selling deep fryer a step above other mid-range models is it’s digital display with ten pre-programmed settings. Having pre-sets built into the deep fryer is a nice improvement over just relying on setting the thermostat to what you hope is the right temperature for the food you are frying.

Aside from the digital display the Aroma ADF-212 Smart Fry XL offers a no frills stainless steel exterior in a rectangular shape that gives it a high-end commercial fryer look. This is a great fryer for a large family or for entertaining guests as it’s generous capacity wil let you keep up with demand. And your fried foods will be in demand because the Aroma ADF-212 Smart Fry XL maintains a great frying temperature so your foods come out perfect every time.

The Presto Professional CoolDaddy Deep Fryer gets it’s name from the fact that the external surfaces of the fryer stay cool to the touch even while in use. Every parent is cautious while using extremely hot kitchen appliances around their children and the Presto Professional CoolDaddy can alleviate at least some of that stress. The lid and splash-free handle release lets you lower the food into the oil after the lid is closed, adding to the safety of this unit.

This deep fryer provides enough cooking area for up to six servings, which may not make it the best choice in deep fryers for a party but the Presto Professional CoolDaddyis certainly sufficient for an average sized family.

Clean up is easy due to a non-stick interior surface though this unit does need to be hand washed, unlike some other deep fryers that are dishwasher safe. The built in thermostat can be adjusted from 250-375 degrees allowing for a range of foods to be fried.

is the little fryer that could! It’s compact design makes it the perfect deep fryer for college students or anyone living in an apartment. The FryDaddy comes in black with silver trim and is available at a budget price, making it the perfect first fryer or as a backup for those days when you just can’t get enough fried food.

The Presto 05420 comes complete with a lift-and-drain scoop that is preferable in smaller fryers such as this because there is no basket to worry over cleaning. Speaking of cleaning, the FryDaddy was actually very easy to clean in our tests due in large part to all of the surfaces being non-stick. Also, high sides keep oil splattering to a minimum while the lid is open. Speaking of oil, this unit only requires 4 cups of oil to operate which allows for quick heating of the oil.

Whether you don’t have much space in your kitchen or you are just on a budget, the Presto 05420 FryDaddy Electric Deep Fryer
is an excellent choice.
