The T-Fal Simply Smart 2.65-Pound Cool Touch Deep Fryer also comes with features that are fairly standard among deep fryers like a timer, magnetic release cord, cool touch exterior,  and external temperature control. The interior is also non-stick which makes for easy cleanup. This deep fryer actually has a somewhat wide footprint to it but is also a little shorter than some other models. This gives it a wider opening up top while remaining shallow enough to only use 2.2 liters of oil. This actually works to the advantage of creating quality fried foods because the food is spread more thinly and not stacked very deep, which allows for more even frying.

The T-Fal FF1035002 Simply Smart Deep Fryer makes it onto our list of best deep fryers because of it’s quality build and twist and shake basket feature. It’s a T-Fal Deep Fryer that is worthy of the name.

Clean up is easy thanks to dishwasher safe parts. Though having a drain would be nice, this smaller deep fryer from Waring pro doesn’t include one. The lack of an oil drain is fairly typical on this size of deep fryer so it’s not much to fret over.

Compared to the Cuisinart CDF-100 deep fryer, the side walls of the Waring Pro DF55 Professional Deep Fryer are nearly twice as high which results in much less oil splattering. This should be a consideration for anyone that may be choosing between the two fryers.

The George Foreman GSF026B Deep Fryer has a 2-3/5 liter oil capacity and a modest 1-2/5 pound food capacity. The heating element reaches your selected temperature, thanks to the programmable thermostat, quickly and recovers temperature well. The real feature to take note of with the george foreman deep fryer is that it has a “spin cycle.” Unlike the DeLonghi unit that spins continuously while frying to reduce the amount of oil necessary for frying, the Foreman unit can spin your food for you at the end of frying to spin away up to 55% of the fat that is absorbed during frying.  And that is where we find George Foreman’s name attached to it. Not many of the best deep fryers or just deep fryers in general put any focus on making your fried food more healthy. The responsibility for that is generally left up to the consumer in the form of choosing the type of oil to fry with and the recipes and quality of ingredients chosen.

I know a lot of people who don’t own a deep fryer because they feel that fried food is unhealthy. These same people however see no issue with eating fried foods at restaurants and fast food establishments, but that’s beside the point. I can appreciate being health conscious however and so of all of the deep fryer reviews that I do, I’m glad to be able to review at least one that caters to the health conscious crowd.

Other features are fairly standard on most deep fryers including a programmable thermostat, temperature ready light, magnetic safety plug, and dishwasher safe parts.

The George Foreman GSF026B Deep Fryer is a mid-range capacity, mid-to-high price point deep fryer that could be an excellent choice for someone who enjoys fried food but wants to watch their intake of fat as well.

When it comes to deep frying, this unit is a simple metal pot design which heats the oil to the desired temperature thanks to an adjustable thermostat. That is the only external feature on the unit however. Even the glass lid that is included with the Presto 06000 Kitchen Kettle Multi-Cooker can’t be used while frying. With that in mind I was concerned about oil splattering the first time that I used this deep fryer and so I purchased some splash guards. As it turned out, when you fill the deep fryer with the proper amount of oil, splattering was really not an issue from my experience. The included frying basket is made of light weight aluminum and while I’ve had no issues with it, the basket does feel like it could be dented rather easily. I was pleased with the quality of the food that the Presto 06000 Kitchen Kettle Multi-Cooker was able to produce, though I do miss having a built-in timer and thermometer like more featureful deep fryers include.

I have not had the opportunity as of yet to use this unit for braising or blanching but I have steamed rice in it and I was very pleased with how the rice turned out. So much fluffier and no mess to clean up like trying to steam rice in the microwave sometimes produces. As someone who enjoys eating rice with my meals, I am really happy that I can use the Presto 06000 Kitchen Kettle Multi-Cooker in this way.

The bottom line is that if you want a deep fryer with lots of frying features, then this unit probably isn’t for you. If however you are looking for a small kitchen appliance that can do the job of many appliances including a deep fryer, then the Presto 06000 Kitchen Kettle Multi-Cooker could be the perfect unit for you. I have very limited counter space in my kitchen and so having an all-in-one device like this is really the best option for me. It may not be the best deep fryer you can buy, but it is a pretty good all-in-one appliance.
